Bilateral relations

Double taxation agreements

Double taxation agreements (DTAs) prevent double taxation and facilitate cross-border economic transactions. In addition, DTAs usually contain certain bans on discrimination, a dispute resolution mechanism and a clause on the exchange of information upon request.

Financial dialogues

The FDF/SIF fosters exchanges with the authorities involved in financial matters in important partner countries. Regular exchanges of opinions and experiences take place within the framework of financial dialogues and other bilateral contacts, and cooperation in areas of mutual interest is also deepened.

Market access issues

Maintaining and possibly improving cross-border market access for financial services from Switzerland is a priority goal of the Federal Council.

Countries

Partner states in Europe, America, Asia and the Near East with which the preservation and improvement of market access for Swiss financial services providers is promoted bilaterally.
