Financial institutions remain lucrative targets for cyberattacks. Cyber risks are among the most important large risks and have the potential to endanger financial market stability.
In recent years, the financial centre has therefore invested in the development of a solid cyber crisis organisation and effective cooperation between authorities and the private sector. In the first quarter of 2022, the Swiss Financial Sector Cyber Security Center (Swiss FS-CSC) was established. This is a public-private partnership in the form of an association that acts as a cyber organisation for the authorities and the financial sector in the interests of the financial centre and represents an innovative approach to cooperation.
